Volvo Trucks 'Drive the Future' conference
Volvo Trucks organized the Drive The Future Conference on 27/3/2018, exclusively for its customers and prospects. We not only explained new techniques such as blockchain, IOT, Human to Machine and many other innovating techniques, but we showed how these can be used in real transport and logistics environments.
The conference has been hosted by Wim De Vilder.
Virtual Reality is a fascinating way to do things using nothing more than the power of technology. With a headset and motion tracking, VR lets you look around a virtual space as if you're actually there.
Craftworkz demonstrated live an assembling situation using VR.

Human to Machine Interaction - BOT
Human to Machine Interaction is a model in which humans co-work with artificial intelligence (AI) systems and other machines rather than using them as tools. Via BOTS the user will be able to communicate with the machine. This could be either via Text or via voice. Did you ever speak with Google Home or Amazon Alexa? This will be your chance.
Botwiser, Volvo Group IT & Connected services Support showcased several cases.
3D Printing is all around you, from the 3D model used by a cardiologist to prepare for surgery, to the customized eyewear frames that fits you so well. In the automotive world, 3D Printing stands by your side at each stage from design to manufacturing, empowering engineers to design more freely and enabling businesses to streamline their production lines.
Materialise showed some great cases in logistics where 3D-printed solutions have made a difference.

AR - Augmented reality
Augmented Reality (AR) is the integration of digital information with the user's environment in real time. It uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it.
Volvo Group IT & Uptime Center demonstrated live with a Volvo Truck Center technician.
Blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. It is an open, distributed ledger that can record transactions between two parties efficiently and in a verifiable and permanent way.
The Ledger presented some very interesting cases in transport & logistics.
